We provide tutoring services for all math subjects listed. If you need support in a math course that is not listed, please inquire.

Online Tutoring Sessions

Our tutoring programs do not commit you to a certain number of sessions. Our goal is to meet your child’s math needs, whether it’s regular support as they progress to new math courses year to year or 1 session to help them prep for a unit test. Every student’s needs are unique and we are happy to cater tutoring to each individual. The online programs listed here are just suggested formats that have worked well for many of our students during distance learning.

Flex Sessions – Our flex program is uniquely designed to fit your child’s needs during distance learning. We understand the challenges of learning remotely, especially when it comes to math. Many schools and teachers are not equipped to teach new concepts as fully as they would in the classroom. This often leaves students having to figure out homework on their own, which can be frustrating and lead to a lack of confidence and gaps in their understanding. Our flex program allows students to reach out to our tutors for more frequent but shorter sessions when they have a few questions, they want a ‘mini-lesson’ to understand current material better, or even for a quick homework check. The flex sessions provide the support to allow students to move forward in math with more confidence.

Weekly Sessions – Our weekly program is similar to our in-home tutoring sessions. Sessions are set at a regular time and day each week and are an hour in duration. This is ideal if your child has tests or quizzes on a given day each week. Sessions can be scheduled regularly for the afternoon or evening the day before. This gives your child peace of mind knowing they will consistently have the support they need before their assessments. The weekly plan is also well suited for students that prefer a consistent schedule in general.

Note: We have paused in-home tutoring sessions at this time but will resume them when it is safe to do so. Although we love high-fiving our students in person to celebrate their successes, we have been practicing virtual high-fives and are getting pretty good at them.

Excel Math Tutors provides test prep support for the math portion of all achievement tests, including ACT, SAT, SSAT, and HSEE.  We hone in on your child’s needs and create an individualized plan to maximize their potential and ultimately their score. Our tutors not only provide test-taking strategies but will teach/review math concepts with students. Additionally, they are able to help students decode challenging word problems and discern the math task really being asked of them. Our integrative approach will have your child well prepared on test day.
